About Kevin Wunrow
With a life-long love of the road less travelled, Kevin has worked in marketing, construction, and business management for more than forty years. After managing a greenhouse in Arizona from the late 70’s to the early 80’s, Kevin built and operated a wholesale nursery called Cascade Tropicals in Seattle from 1983 to 1996.
In 1997, Kevin, his wife Therese (former principal harpist for the Seattle Symphony), and two young children moved to the island of Gau, in the Fiji Islands. For the next eight years, he designed and built a solar-powered dive resort called Nukuyaweni Outpost, while Therese home schooled Zac and Rose.
In 2005, Kevin and family immigrated to New Zealand and he began his career in real estate at Century 21 and Barfoot and Thompson in Kerikeri while Therese taught piano and harp at the Kerikeri School of Music. Zac eventually went off to medical school in the U.S. and Rose is closer to home working for NZ Transport in Wellington.
With lifelong passions for music, sailing, diving, organic gardening, hiking, kayaking, skiing, tennis, and bicycling (across the US and Canada with his dad in the 90s), plus a strong attraction to communities of diverse and independent people, Kevin and Therese, with an empty nest, spent three years building an off-grid home and vineyard from recycled materials in the hills just outside Mangonui.
After sixteen years in real estate, Kevin provides a solid base of perspective for both sellers and buyers of homes and land and prides himself on making sure that sellers' properties are presented in a way that insures a positive result . . . every time out, and that buyers are helped to find precisely the situation which suits them best.
With most of his adult life spent in marketing and development, plus a fervent commitment to lifestyles which are culturally and environmentally sustainable, Kevin is an enthusiastic part of the Mangonui Raine & Horne office and welcomes you to stop by . . anytime . . for a lively chat.
"My promise to you is the straight (sometimes brutal) truth, hard work, and the best possible presentation and selling result for your precious property."
