Raine & Horne expands in Auckland’s south as markets poised to pick up

October 7, 2024

The growing network of the Australasian superbrand Raine & Horne is spreading across southern Auckland down to the border with Waikato as the housing market is poised for a bounce back.

The Raine & Horne Manukau team, led by Rozie Khan, Raine & Horne Flat Bush guided by Sunny Gumber, Raine & Horne Papakura, headed by Fred Heikell and Raine & Horne Waiuku, led by Julie Rodgers have all embraced the iconic handcrafted gold ampersand logo alongside the brand’s sleek charcoal and white colour palette at a crucial time of the market cycle for the southern side of the queen city.

This news comes as ‘green shoots’ have started to emerge with auction sales collecting speed after a challenging year that has impacted median house prices and sales numbers across Manukau City and the Papakura and Franklin Districts.

According to Jen Baird, CEO of REINZ, open home, auction room activity and attendance all picked in south Auckland in August. “Market sentiment has been influenced by changes in the official cash rate (OCR), lending criteria, a slight decrease in interest rates, and a rise in general confidence,” she said, noting further interest rate falls would be the key to a market upswing.

All the Raine & Horne teams share extensive experience and deep community connections. At Raine & Horne Manukau Rosie Khan leans on 25 years of living in the area and her knowledge of neighbourhoods, local amenities and good school zones to help clients find their dream home or to sell their current home for top dollar.

At Raine & Horne Flat Bush franchise owner Sunny Gumber uses his several years of real estate experience, deep local knowledge and strong communication skills honed when he was in the hospitality industry to effectively connect with clients in multiple languages and deliver exceptional service.

At Raine & Horne Papakura, franchise owner Fred Heikell was born and raised in nearby Drury and has remained active in the Papakura community as a firefighter and junior rugby coach and referee. When it comes to business Fred is well respected as a strong negotiator who is focused on achieving the best possible outcome for his vendors.

Further south at Raine & Horne Waiuku, franchise owner Julie Rodgers has more than a decade of experience which underpins her quiet confidence and unflappable manner. It is Raine & Horne’s ability to offer great value and top-class service that motivates her, she says.
