Ian Keightley

Ian began his real estate career in February 1981 in Rotorua and has since held various leadership roles. He served as Branch Manager in 1992 and was involved in dual ownership in 1986. Ian was a member of the Waikato/BOP/Gisborne District Committee from 1987 to 1992 and briefly served as Vice President before moving to Auckland. He was also President of the Rotorua Sub-Branch of REINZ and one of the first Accredited Auctioneers. Ian has consistently called auctions and participated in competitions.

He held leadership positions in The Professionals and Harcourts Group NZ, becoming an Executive Director in 1997. In 1999, he left Harcourts to focus on training real estate professionals across New Zealand and Australia. He later joined his wife, Jacqui Kalka, in Mike Pero Real Estate, where they were recognized as Hall of Fame members in 2017.

Ian recently completed five years on the REA CAC panel, contributing to industry complaint resolutions. He has been an Approved Provider of REA CPD for many years, with a growing client base. In 2023, he received Life Membership from the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand for his contributions. Currently, Ian leads the New Zealand Raine & Horne team, aiming to establish a leading position for the brand in the local real estate market.
